Charles W. Nugent and family papers, 1850-1950 (bulk 1850-1920).

Personal correspondence, financial records, military documents, newspaper clippings (ca. 1940, 1955), naturalization certificates, and other personal papers of Charles W. Nugent and family. Included are Charles W. Nugent's Grand Army of the Republic records, Confederate money, and an invitation and two tickets to the World's Columbian Exposition of 1893. In addition are naturalization certificates for Charles W. Nugent (immigrant from Great Britain) and George Dreyfus (immigrant from France). Also included are materials related to the South Park Commissioners of Chicago (1905-1908), where Nugent was employed, and Nugent's retirement papers (ca. 1920-1930).
